Mini Spring Haul

Hello everyone! Today I wanted to share a few things I recently picked up.

The first things I got were these beautiful cat ears from Forever 21. I think they would be cute to wear to conventions and I think the rose gold one with pearls would look cute to wear out for fun.

I also used the coupon I got for The Face Shop which I mentioned in my Toronto Kpop Con 2016 post and got this product called the Make Up Coordinator. I picked up the glow version for $14 CDN and I will have a review on it up very soon.

The Face Shop coupon also allowed me to pick out a free sheet mask so I got this Longan one because i've never seen or heard about it before.

Lastly, I got these Quay-like sunglasses from Ardene for $8 CDN.

After a fun day of shopping, my best friend and I treated ourselves to some bubble tea from Coco's Tea- which was great because I got to use my coupon to there that I got at Toronto Kpop Con 2016.

Also Coco's Green Tea Macchiato is my favourite drink to get. Their Taro bubble tea is also really good too. Thanks for reading!xx

Missing out on Anime North 2016

So Anime North 2016 just passed and I didn't attend it this year. I had previously attended Toronto Kpop Con 2016 the weekend before which you can read about here. So minus this year, I have gone to Anime North for three years in a row and it is my favourite convention that i've ever attended. Not only is the dealers room and artist's alley huge, but there's plenty of things to do there and so many amazing cosplays. You can read about my adventures at Anime North 2015 here on my old blog.

I still wish I had gone to the con this year. Many of my friends have posted photos of them at the con and their awesome cosplays and I just feel like I missed out because I love going to cons.

Once I started college some of my interests began to change. I know it's perfectly fine since i'm still growing up and finding myself, but I started to lose interest in anime and video games. At one point in time during college, I didn't listen to Kpop as much as well- which isn't because I stopped enjoying the music but I would constantly listen to specific music genres and then completely switch to another genre because I would get so used to listening to certain songs no less than 20 times a day. Once I started my second semester of college I rekindled my love of Kpop but just didn't have the time to watch anime or play video games again. I'm planning on doing alot more of those things this summer since I have the time and I recently started watching more K-dramas as well. (I'll have a Madame Antoine review up soon!)

I will definitely be at Anime North 2017 because I am not going to miss it again. I have not actually cosplayed before so I think it's best if I start planning for Anime North 2017 this year. I have thought of potential cosplays I would like to do in the past so I think I might make a post with some of my ideas. I am really good with making things and crafting (I need to practice sewing though) so if I choose to take the DIY cosplay route, then I will make a post about the progress.

I want to stay for the the full weekend at Anime North 2017 so this is going to require alot of planning ahead of time. Thanks for reading!

Toronto Kpop Con 2016 + GFriend and a Haul!

Hello Everyone! I'm extremely excited to share today's post with you. I went to Toronto Kpop Con for the first time a couple weekends back and had alot of fun. I had tickets to the GFriend fan meet. I attended the con with a friend of mine and we really enjoyed it. Gfriend played games at the fan meet but my favourite part was when they performed. My favourite songs by them are Trust and Rough so it was really nice to see them live. This was also my first time ever seeing a live performance/concert too and they did not disappoint. All of the girls have lovely voices.

One thing I was kind of disappointed with at the con was the dealers room area. I wish it would have been bigger, had more vendors, and had more kpop related merchandise. As you will see in the haul portion of this post, I purchased a poster there but they had a very limited selection of posters. The con did have a good amount of albums, but I didn't want to spend alot of money purchasing them since the prices were marked up. I was hoping to bring back alot of kpop merch as gifts for friends but they did not have that much of  selection. I know this is probably just me being nitpicky but I would have loved to get at least a t shirt or a button pin there since I like to get buttons as a memory for every con I attend.

Let's get on to the haul!

Everyone who attended the con received one of these bags from The Face Shop. Inside the bags were two character masks- a pig mask and a monkey mask, but I only have one to show you since I gave the other one to a friend. It also came with a 15% off coupon to The Face Shop which also allows you to get redeem a free sheet mask and a coupon for Coco's Tea.

The Face Shop had there own table in the dealers room and if you liked their Facebook page they would let you play this game thing to win a free sheet mask. This is the sheet mask I won.

I got this bunny ear headband in three colours. I gave the black one to my best friend and the pink one to my friend who attended the con with me.These were $2 each.

I picked up a pair of these Minnie Mouse light up ears as well. They were only $5 and I regret not getting a pair of them in pink too.

Last but not least, I got a Girls Generation Party poster for $5.

Thanks for reading everyone!

Cosmetic Love Spring Haul (Etude House products)

Hello everyone! Today I will be sharing some products with you that I recently purchased from Cosmetic Love. All of the products I tried were from Etude House and I am extremely happy with all of them. Let's get on to the products!

The first products I have to show you are the Etude House Bling Me Prism Eyes in Sunny Carat (orange) and Pearl Fact (white). These are liquid eyeshadows and they were released last year. The eyeshadows have a curved doe foot applicator. I love both of these eyeshadows because they are pigmented and long-wearing. The orange is very bright and unique, while the white eyeshadow has pink/purple shift.

I also purchased the Etude House Bling Bling Eye Stick in Shooting Star 01. I have wanted to try out this stick eyeshadow for many years and I finally got the chance to. It is a sparkly white cream eyeshadow that is perfect for creating an aegyo sal.

The Etude House Berry Delicious Collection just came out this year and has the most adorable packaging. I got the Colour in Liquid Lips Juicy in the shade PK014. Last year with the Bling Me Prism collection, Etude House released similar lip tints to this one however, the formula is different. I have heard that the formula of this lip tint in the Berry Delicious collection is better. This lip tint has great pigmentation and while it isn't the most longlasting tint, it still is awesome and I would highly reccomend it. I will be picking up more products from this collection!

Here are some swatches of the products:

(PK014 on the lips in natural light)
(L-R: Sunny Carat, Pearl Fact, Shooting Star, PK014)

The final product I purchased was this nail polish from the Give Me Chocolate collection in the shade White Chocolate. This is just a basic white nail polish but I do like it so far.

Ebay Fake Eyelashes

Hello everyone! Today I wanted to show you some of the lashes I purchased from Ebay. Each box was less than $2 CDN. I have yet to wear any of them but I wanted to share this post because I think it is a great alternative to the more expensive lashes. KathleenLights used the Yue Er Gong Zhu Lashes in her "Shades of Teal" tutorial and said that they were actually really good considering the price. I think the more dramatic lashes would be great cosplaying or night looks as opposed to daytime wear.

Mini Drugstore Beauty Spring Haul and Reviews

Hello everyone! Today I will be reviewing a few drugstore beauty items I picked up over the course of May.

The first thing I picked up is something I've had my eye on for a while. It is the Hard Candy Velvet Lip Mousse in Daffodil. Daffodil is a light warm brown nude shade with an orange undertone. I use a small amount of this when I wear it because I find that if I build it up too much, that the shade doesn't flatter my skin tone. I believe that this is similar to the Nyx Soft Matte Lip Creams in the sense that it is opaque (kind of  like a liquid lipstick) but has a creamy, "mousse-like" texture that does not dry down or set. Many people do not enjoy this type of formulation since they find that it transfers easily. However if you are okay with a lip product that does not "set" then I would recommend checking these out. They come a few different shades as you can see in the advertisement for them. I am very interested in picking up the shades Wisteria (purple) and Cherry Blossom (deeper pink) as well. I believe these are limited edition since they are part of the spring collection.

All of the Velvet Lip Mousses come in their own little tin that coordinates with the colour of lipstick. It has a mirror inside and a place for the lipstick. While the packaging is bulky and not very practical, it still looks cute displayed on a vanity.

As you can see the applicator is long and thin, but keep in mind that it is also a bit stiff.

I picked up was the Covergirl Oh Sugar Balm in the shade number 4 Taffy. It's not as soft and buttery as the Fresh Sugar Lip Treatments but for $7 CDN it's still a really hydrating lip balm with a pretty colour. It is a nice brownish rosy colour that can be built up to look more opaque. I would highly recommend this lip balm. I would love to pick up more shades!

The next item purchased was also from Covergirl. This lipstick is part of Katy Perry's line with Covergirl called Katy Kat Matte. All of the lipsticks have names relating to cats. I got the shade Catoure which is a mauvey rose colour. I really like this lipstick as well and I will also be picking up more shades. However, I do not know if this collection is limited edition or not.

Here is a swatch of all three of the lip products:

The last thing I picked up was this Revlon Nail Polish in the shade 161 Teak Rose. Revlon makes some awesome nail polishes and this one is no different. The colour is beautiful and the formula is really nice too.

Colourpop Grunge Lippie Stix and Kae Ultra Matte Lip

Hello everyone! I got these two Colourpop lipsticks a while back and wanted to share my thoughts on them. Grunge is a cooler brown colour with a matte formula. It's very comfortable to wear and I absolutely love the colour. Kae is a warm deep brown colour that also has a matte formula. It was released in collaboration with Karreuche Tran. I'm not sure if all of Colourpop's liquid lipsticks are this way, but Kae felt extremely uncomfortable on the lips. I was hoping for more in terms of formula. I know that liquid lipsticks aren't known for being super comfortable or hydrating but I just expected more from the way their liquid lipsticks are raved about. This liquid lipstick also will not budge and requires oil in order to be removed. I thought it would be a little bit lighter and warmer like how it appears in the tube, but as you can see the colour is alot deeper. I still would like to try other Colourpop products in the future such as their eyeshadows and highlighters. Out of the two lipsticks, I would recommend Grunge simply because Kae is uncomfortable to wear. Let's get on to the swatches:
